A New Blade Runner film?
A new Blade Runner film? Is it really true?
Word on the street is that Ridley Scott has committed to produce and direct a new ‘Blade Runner‘ movie, set in the same universe as his science-fiction classic from 1982. Just like his new ‘Alien‘ movie (Prometheus), no concrete details have emerged except we now know who will most likely be writing his new foray back into Replicant territory: Scott Burns, writer of the recent ‘Contagion’ and ‘The Bourne Ultimatum‘ films.
Only time will tell, just like Scott’s ‘Prometheus’ film, what will stay the same and what new direction his mind will be going with his return to form.
This information is very interesting to a lot of people, myself included. Will we see some returning characters? Imagine how beautiful the film will look with the advancements in modern special effects, especially with a visionary like Ridley Scott at the helm. The original film is about to turn 30 years old and still is one of the most visually impressive films ever made. Thoughts?
