Box Office Recap for Oct. 28-30, 2011

Looks like ‘Puss in Boots‘ scared off ‘Paranormal Activity 3′ over the weekend for first place while Justin Timberlake‘s ‘In Time’ came in third with an impressive $12M. How did the rest fare?

Hark’s Box Office Recap

1) ‘Puss in Boots‘ with $34M (Antonio Banderas‘ swashbuckling kitty proves he doesn’t need ‘Shrek‘ to flourish)

2) ‘Paranormal Activity 3′ with $18.5M (spooky third chapter in the series is a gold mine of a hit)

3) ‘In Time’ with $12M (Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried‘s thriller is a decent hit, but only ” in time” will we see if it lasts)

4) ‘Footloose‘ with $5.4M (every seems to be cutting footloose with this remake)

5) ‘The Rum Diary’ with $5M (not surprisingly this didn’t perform too well, but I still want to see Mr. Depp‘s performance badly)

6) ‘Real Steel‘ with $4.7M (what was the last Hugh Jackman movie released that didn’t have CGI in it?)

7) ‘The Three Musketeers’ with $3.5M (even the appeal of 3D isn’t helping this bomb out)

8) ‘The Ides of March’ with $2.7M (still holding on to the top ten)

9) ‘Moneyball’ with $2.4M (Brad Pitt does about one theatrical film a year now, I just realized that)

10) ‘Courageous’ with $1.8M (hangin’ in there!)
