Hrothgar: I wonder how many men have died for love of her beauty.
Beowulf: Can you blame them?
Hrothgar: If you destroy my Grendel for me, she'll be yours forever and ever and ever.
Beowulf: You do me great honor.
Wealthow: It is we who are honored.
Hrothgar offers Beowulf a reward for destroying Grendel, but the dialogue's possible dual-meanings make it ambiguous whether the reward is the Royal Dragon Horn, or the Queen.
