Good evening i just want to say on a serous note. A lot of people are wearing ribbons tonight in support of the people in Haiti. And you can go to NBC.com to make your personal contribution. Also George Clooney also organized a telethon which will be next Friday Night so hopefully everybody will watch that which is called Hope for Haiti. But now...to the first award to best supporting actress in a motion picture. The nominees are 5 woman which incredible performances have earned our respect and admiration. Penelope Cruz in 9...Amiga, Up in the Air, Anna Up in the Air, Mo'nique, Precious, Julian Moore, A Single Man. And the Golden Globe goes to Mo'nique.

Mo'nique: First let me say thank you God for this amazing ride that you're allowing me to go on and everybody kept asking me did i know my speech. And i said no i don't know what i'm going to say i don't want people to think i know i won something so no i don't know. I'm shaking, and I tell y'all I'm in the midst of my dream and when I look at the eyes of the man I stood next to at 14 and I said, 'One day we gonna be stars,' and he said: 'You first.' And we walked this red carpet tonight. Sydney i love you more than you will ever know baby. I don't know how much time i have but I haven something to say so please...Lee Daniels the world gets a chance to see how brilliant you are. You are a brilliant, fearless director who would not waiver and thank you for trusting me to be Mary Jones in this movie. To Gabby, sister I am in aw of you. Thank you for letting me play with you.
