Requiem for a Dream is a 2000 American drama film directed by Darren Aronofsky and starring Ellen Burstyn, Jared Leto, Marlon Wayans and Jennifer Connelly. The film is based on the novel of the same name written by Hubert Selby, Jr., and Aronofsky and Selby co-wrote the screenplay.
